Thinking about how the world around us has evolved so much just in the last decade, it’s almost hard to believe. Did your grandparents really believe we would have robot vacuum cleaners, portable video phones or eBooks in the future? If they magically jumped forward 100 years, how would they feel? Think about Captain America after he was thawed out!
The next few decades look just as exciting. With the promise of self driving cars around the corner and the first (very expensive) commercial space flights. Not to mention augmented reality technology that almost works.
Imagining the future is a great way to get kids thinking like an inventor. Flexing those creative muscles, and doing some critical thinking. All whilst having a blast! They have some wild ideas, and it’s really fun to see what they’re dreaming about.
If you’re wondering how to present this to your class, have a look at this great classroom presentation. Generously shared by Mr Nick Dempster, Teacher at Norwood Primary School (UK).
